Vest + Stripes

I haven’t owned a vest in years, even though the vest + striped shirt is one of my favorite cold-weather combinations. I’ve seen cute vests on social media all month and I decided it was high time I get one and create this look for myself.

Both my shirt and vest are from Old Navy. I’d highly recommend shopping at Old Navy this holiday season, whether in store or online. It seems like every day, they are having an incredible sale. If you hurry over today, you can score sweaters for $9.00 and 30% off your entire online order – clearance included!

My shirt is the Luxe Long-Sleeve Hi-Lo Hem Striped Tee for Women. Let me tell you, this shirt is incredibly soft. It does seem to run a bit large – I ordered a small and worried it would be too small, but it actually fits more like a medium. I’d recommend choosing one size down from what you’d usually wear.

The vest is the Lightweight Diamond-Quilted Zip-Front Vest in olive green. I’m naturally drawn to olive green in the fall/winter. It’s an easy color that pairs well with other neutrals. I love that it’s bold enough to make a statement, but mild enough to blend with a variety of other colors.

This vest is ideal because it’s not too bulky or heavy, but it’s still very warm. It doesn’t look out of place to wear indoors, which is good for me, since I work in an office. In addition to the olive color, it’s available in ivory, pink, mustard, navy, and black. I personally don’t like oversized vests, so I ordered a size small, and it fits perfectly.

Hope everyone is almost ready for Thanksgiving! I’m definitely looking forward to a long weekend with plenty of football and relaxation.
