An Introduction

It’s Thursday already! I have a few new followers this week, so I thought a little introduction post would be a good idea for me to properly introduce myself.

First of all, welcome to my page. I truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to read what I write. Blogging is one of my favorite hobbies. I find it very therapeutic and rewarding to connect with others and share my ideas with the world.

My name is Haileigh. I’m a full-time working mom with a passion for family, classic fashion and fitness (specifically weightlifting). I live in the Pittsburgh area with my husband and daughter.

My daughter, Daphne, is the light of my life. She will be two next week and is the most wonderful little person ever. She enjoys everything Barney, petting animals and reading books. Being a parent can be a challenging journey sometimes, but it’s so rewarding to watch her grow into a smart, happy child.

I started blogging about five years ago now. My very first blog was called “Bean Gone Green” and was a diary of my journey to becoming more eco-friendly. Back then, my husband had nicknamed me “Bean” and the website name stuck because I liked the way it rhymed.

After writing about the environment for a few years, I was starting to feel pretty depressed and stuck. My anxiety was at an all-time high. Unfortunately, I couldn’t continue to read and write about the environment every day. The community can be judgmental and the number of issues happening around the world was simply overwhelming. While I still try to be eco-friendly in my life, and I try to pass these lessons along to my daughter, I’ve decided to shift the focus of my blog. Although “green living” is no longer the focus, I’ll be sure to post eco tips every so often.

As I mentioned above, I absolutely love weightlifting. I’ve been lifting regularly for about three years now, and there’s no turning back. I love seeing myself become stronger. I love the challenge of achieving a new personal best. Although I would consider myself to be primarily a power lifter, I’ve been learning Olympic lifts lately, too. Let me tell you – they are super difficult! I have my work cut out for me.

Thanks again for visiting my little corner of the Internet. I’m trying to post new content every day, so be sure to follow me on WordPress and find me on Instagram @haileighsenatore.
